Entrepreneurship fair to host Ezekwesili

Oby Ezekwesili
Former minister for solid minerals, Oby Ezekwesili, will Wednesday, October 9, 2013, address issues relating to “The Role of Entrepreneurs in National Development,” in a free one-day event organised by the women’s business network under the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA).
The event is billed to take place at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Exhibition and Conference Centre, Alausa, Lagos.
This network called NECA Network of Entrepreneurial Women (NNEW) holds such events toward the advancement of sustainable entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
“The exhibition is the maiden edition and is called ‘NNEWpreneurship Fair’ and the theme is Financing your Business,” says Edobong Akpabio, publicity secretary, NNEW. She says this theme is very significant for the Nigerian entrepreneur who faces the challenge of access to finance for business advancement.
She notes that some of the questions to be addressed also include opportunities out there that the average entrepreneur may not be aware of and how entrepreneurs can make the best use of what is available to obtain their desired success.
Lola Okanlawon, president, NNEW, also declares that the event will give Nigerian entrepreneurs a voice in the nation’s economy as well as provide them with information on the various avenues for business financing, and how to access them.
The organisers also point out that the fair will give participants the opportunity of a networking platform to share ideas and exhibit their goods and services.
